Sprinkled throughout the anime series Code Geass were some neat interfaces representing a battlefield. Apparently, just because a fictional game in a fictional story looks interesting doesn't mean it really is fun. Without the recreating the drama and story context behind the battle sequences, the mechanics are only bare - and need additional creative input for real gamification.
My Battlefield Interface study also takes a look of real time strategy interfaces from different shows like: Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Gargantia, 24, Robotics Notes, Aldnoah, Gundam Wing, and Macross Zero.
